Coltrane Peak is the snowy mountain region in the north, and it’s the easiest of the six to actually reach — you just ride the train. The route in is the haunted Frozen Trainyard: “Mina travels north by train into a graveyard of overturned railcars, fraught with icy enemies and the ghosts of passengers who linger after the terrible accident.”
How to reach it
The convenient way in is a train ticket from any station (Ossex included), which drops you at Frigid Station. If you’d rather walk, you can scale the mountain north of Eastern Heath. Either way the train story beat — Mina heading north into the wrecked railyard — is how the region is introduced. Its sub-areas are Frostbite Woods, Icebound Cavern and Frigid Station.
The boss
The region’s Spark Generator is guarded by the Frozen Horror, a yellow monster encased in ice. Tucked away in Frostbite Woods is the secret boss Mirren, a ghost haunting an abandoned carriage; beating it rewards the Blinking Glass trinket.
Mirror
The mirror to the Astral Orrery is in the Icebound Cavern, “directly after the fight against the Frozen Horror.” Burrow into the room to the right of the arena to find it.
What comes next
Coltrane Peak is the fifth stop in the canon order. After it, the manual points to the Astral Orrery — the final, mirror-only region that doesn’t appear on the map until you’ve gathered enough mirror access.
