Whisper & Vesper are a pair of nimble daggers and one of Mina’s three starting weapons. Where the Nightstar trades on reach, the daggers trade on speed: you mash the attack button to stab in quick succession, racking up hits faster than any other weapon in the game.
Who should use the daggers?
This is the aggressive, in-your-face weapon. You have to close the distance to land hits, which is riskier than the Nightstar’s whip range, but the payoff is raw attack speed. In Yacht Club Games’ favorite-weapon poll, Whisper & Vesper placed third with 16% of the vote — a niche pick for players who like tight, fast melee.
Upgrades
Both upgrades add mobility on top of the daggers’ speed. Lunging Cut lets you jump into the air to attack foes and then bounce on them, and Throwing Dagger adds a throwable dagger that you can pick back up after throwing. The exact effects are in the upgrade table below.
You can buy the upgraded version of your chosen weapon from Legovich’s smithy in the red building in Ossex City Center — the two brothers also sell the Lunging Cut upgrade. The first upgrade purchase starts at 2,000 Bones, then settles at 2,500 Bones for every other purchase. Upgrades are also found at the game’s eight field upgrade locations across Tenebrous Isle.

Verdict
Whisper & Vesper are the speed-demon option — the lowest reach, but the fastest hits. Best for players who want to get in close, mash out stabs, and use the Lunging Cut/Throwing Dagger upgrades to stay mobile.
